Gerry moved to Kirkland Lake to be with his daughter and family after the passing of his beautiful wife and enjoyed every minute of being with them. He made a long-awaited trip to Niagara Falls to visit the majority of his sisters in 2017 which was definitely the high-light in his final years. Anyone that knew Gerry knew that he could be found on a golf course and never left home without a bucket of balls and at least one golf club. Music was always a large part of his life and he continued playing guitar and teaching his granddaughter well into his later years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed wood working, curling and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. Gerry was known for his infectious smile, amazing sense of humour and twinkle in his eye. He will be desperately missed by anyone that knew him.
The family wishes to thank the Timiskaming Palliative Care network and their amazing volunteers for helping them through this difficult time. To Doctor Petrariu and all the amazing nurses at the KDH that came into contact with Gerry we're forever grateful. His ashes will be placed with his bride in Iroquois Falls summer of 2019.
