A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iota for James Lee Bellon, 58, who died Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at 6:19 a.m. at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas.

Fr. Jude Thierry, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The Catholic Daughters will recite at rosary at 10:30 at church. Burial of Mr. Bellon's cremated remains will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum. There will be no public visitation.

Mr. Bellon is survived by two brothers, Shelby Bellon and his wife Vickie of Iota, Anthony Shane Bellon of Iota; one sister-in-law, Annette Bellon of Iota; nieces and nephews, Brett Bellon and his wife Kortnie, Megan Menard and her husband Tony, Kyler Bellon, Brianne Trotti and her husband Wade; great nieces and nephews, Grant and Tucker Bellon, Abigail Menard, Jackson, Maeven, and Parker Trotti.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenny and Lula Mae LeJeune Bellon; two brothers, Steven and Wendel Bellon.
