He graduated from San Francisco State University in 1957 and soon after, started working as a disc jockey at a local radio station. He went on to become one of the most popular radio personalities in Los Angeles, California. He also appeared in several stage productions on the West Coast. In the 1970s and 1980s, he shifted to doing "voice" work for various animated series such as "Super Friends," "Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo," and "The Smurfs." He went on to provide "voices" for many other animated series, films, and video games such as "The Transformers," "Where's Waldo?," "Darkwing Duck," "Toy Story," "A.I. Artificial Intelligence," and "Call of Duty 2." He continued to provide "voice" work until his passing.
