MR. WILLIAM A. HUNT - Submitted by John Henderson
Willaim Allen Hunt was born at Round Grove, Mo., Nov. 15, 1859 and died at his home on Moore Prairie, Feb. 17, at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 2 days.
He moved to Kansas with his wife and one child 49 years ago and settled on the farm where he had resided since that time.
He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters; Miss Pearl Hunt and Mrs. Arthur Brunger; three grandsons, Neil Hunt, and Harold and Lee Brunger; and many warm friends.
At the age of 9 years he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and united with the Baptist church in Round Grove, Mo.
He helped organize the Evergreen Baptist Church on Moore Prairie and was one of the charter members. Our brother as we have known him, was a man much beloved in the community, a man of strong religious convictions and sterling worth. We extend our sincere sympathies to those who mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1935 with Rev. J. Wayne Pinson officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Edith Casement, Mrs. A. J. Floyd, W. D. Kinnaman and C. W. Floyd. Burial was in Evergreen (Moore Prairie) cemetery with the Baird funeral home of Sedan in charge of arrangement.
(NOTE: Mr. Hunt was married to two of my Great Aunts. Martha Adeline Henderson and after her death Martha's sister Mary A. Henderson. Great Nephew John Max Henderson)
