5901 Rifleman A Moss, 4th Battalion the (Prince Consort's Own) Rifle Brigade. The 4th Battalion sailed from England about 15 Dec 1901, and after their arrival in South Africa were deployed in the Orange River Colony. Rifleman Moss served in the 20th Mounted Infantry. He died of enteric fever (typhoid) at 29 Stationary Hospital, Heilbron, Orange River Colony on 16 Feb 1902. He was buried the same day.
