Mr. Jesse Edward Parris, age 85, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

Jessie was born in Albertville, AL on November 7, 1935, son of late Robert Allen Parris and the late Ada Pauline Walls Parris. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Brewington Parris, and brothers, John Turner Parris, Joseph Robert Parris, and Jerry Allen Parris. Jessie attended Albertville High School and served in the United States Army. He was a member of New Armuchee Baptist Church. He worked for and retired from RRR as a Truck Driver. Jessie was a Mason belonging to Floyd Springs Lodge #167 F. & A. M. and he received his 50th year pen.

Survivors include a daughter, Terry Lynn Lux; a son, Edward Dean Parris (Kim); 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Fay Agan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Rickey Brewington officiating. Interment will follow in Morning View Cemetery with the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard presenting full military honors.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Tuesday from 12 noon until 1:45pm. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are requested at both the visitation and funeral.
