Sterina "Esther" "Tina" Kaminski Bries, age 90, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life late Monday evening, November 8, 2021 at Sylvan Crossing Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Sterina was born on March 23, 1931 in Rockwood. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Maria DiGregorio Barbarossa. Sterina was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. From 1965 to 1978 Sterina and her husband Eugene Kaminski owned and operated the Quarry Bar in Rockwood which is now known as the Big Apple. She then became employed with Napp Office Supply, Mirro Aluminum, Manitowoc Company, and in 1972 she started employment at Park Dental for the next 40 years as their office manager, retiring in 2011 at the age of 80. Sterina married Eugene Kaminski on October 1950 in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1978. She later married Robert Bries on April 1981 in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2004. Sterina was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In 2015 she became a Secular Franciscan. Sterina assisted with the organizing of the Christian Experience Weekend, volunteered at Holy Family Hospital Chapel as a Sacristan until her health would no longer allow her to continue.

She is survived by two children, Rod (Lynne) Kaminski, Rockwood, Candice (Richard) Sampe, Manitowoc; four step sons, Randy Bries, Pat (Sue) Bries, Rick Bries, all of Manitowoc and Rob Bries of Crivitz; 14 grandchildren, Angela Popp, Maria Fulton, Abe Sampe, Luke Sampe, Nick Sampe, Gina Sampe, Dan Dewane, Robert Bries, Derek Bries, Danielle Delsan, Courtney Bries, Lindsay Bries, Jamie Bries, Andrea Bries; 17 great grandchildren, special niece, Sister Marsaia, Manitowoc, along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Maria Barbarossa, first husband, Eugene Kaminski, second husband, Robert Bries, granddaughter, Kelly Bries, nephew, Jeff Woytal, two brothers, Florian and Guido "Vic" Barbarossa, three sisters, Adele Tagliapietra Emogene Davis, and Nelda Woytal.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral service a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
