Erastus Kimball, born in 1834 in New York, was a farmer. He married Lydia Ellen (McDermed), who was born on June 12, 1833, in Johnson County, Indiana.

Their children, all born in Washington were: Charles E., born in 1864; Frank E., born in 1865; Luella, born in 1867; Emma Ardelia, born in 1870; Dollie E., born in 1871; Ester May, born in 1873; and James E., born in 1878.

Daughter Emma married John Morehead on December 24, 1886, in Waitsburg. He was employed as a farm laborer.

Their children were: Earl C., born in 1891; Ray Muri, born in September 1894; Loren Lester, born in October 1896; Viola Mae, Born in 1905.

The family later moved to Granger, Wash.

John Morehead died on September 3, 1941, at Fort Steilacoom, Pierce County, Wash.
