"Mrs. Thalia Brown, widow of the late Richard Brown, died at her home in this place last Sunday night, aged 55 years. Deceased was a daughter of the late Judge Eben Newton and a most excellent Christian woman. Ten children survive her – E. N., Ralph H., Engineer of Boston Bridge Co. Boston, Richard H., with the Thompson-Houston Electric Light Co., Lynn, Mass., Mary N., Grace M., Fred C., Thalia N., Maurice F., Hattie C., and Effie M. Brown, all at home but the three first named. Funeral services conducted by Rev. William Dickson were held at the family residence Tuesday afternoon. The interment was made in the village cemetery."
