INFORMATION IS GIVEN ABOUT DOAN FAMILY

In answer to a request published in The Switzerland Democrat for information regarding George Doan or his descendants Mrs. Rena Easterday of Carrollton, Ky., has sent this office the following data:

George M. Doan died in Carrollton, Ky., January 5, 1921, aged 83 years.

His family consisted of two daughters who are still living, Mrs. Rena Easterday, who resides in Carrollton, Ky., and Mrs. Ollie Aaron, of Alexandria, Ky.

George Doan's two sisters were Mrs. Clara Stevens, wife of Rufus Stevens and Mrs. Mollie Cotton, wife of Frank Cotton.

Their father, Josiah M. Doan, died in Center Square, Ind. His wife, Mary Green Doan, afterwards married a Mr. Ransom, of Switzerland county., Ind. She died at the home of her son, Josiah, in Carrollton, Ga., and was buried there.

Josiah Mifflin Doan, born Oct. 8, 1793. His wife, Mary Ann Green, born August 15, 1805. They were married December 15, 1822.
