Daughter of John James Yingling Sr. & Hannah Shaffer. Went by the name of Margret.

Margret was married first to Pvt. Elijah Collyer aka. Elijah Collier (1830-1862). Elijah and Margret were married about 1855 and they had four children together: Mary Candace, Hannah Margaret, Lucinda Huldah and Charles Yingling Collyer. Elijah served in the Union Army (Missouri State Militia Cavalry) during the Civil War. He died of disease at age 32, on August 1, 1862 in Springfield, Missouri only five months after enlisting. Margret later went on to marry George Jacobs sometime before 1880.

Please note: Many people confuse the two Collyer brothers - Elijah (who was born in 1830 and died in 1862 who married Margaretta "Margret" Yingling) and his brother, Elisha (who was born in 1834 and died in 1919 who married Margret's sister, Elizabeth "Betsey" Yingling). But they were definitely two different people. They are both listed on the 1850 census with their father and other siblings. Also confusing is the fact that the Collyer family sometimes went by Collier as well, so the military records show both names.
