Catherine "Katie" Marrs was born in April 1783 in Wilkes, Georgia, the daughter of Mary and Hugh Marrs. She married Isaac Marrs on September 28, 1802, in Logan, Kentucky. They had 12 children in 31 years. She died on December 13, 1863, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, having lived a long life of 80 years.
