Earlene Johnson was born April 22, 1939, to the late George Johnson and Alberta Hector Johnson in Candler County, Georgia. She passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

She attended the public schools of Candler County. She worked various jobs to include Jay Dees Sportswear, Cal Maine, Metter Nursing Home (Dietary), and Candler County Hospital (Dietary).

She joined the Thankful Baptist Church of Stillmore, Georgia at an early age and later moved her membership to the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church in Metter, Georgia, where she served as Mission Treasurer and on the Mother Board.

Earlene was a member of the Cherokee Rose Garden Club, and Georgia Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. She had a great love for sports and enjoyed attending the Metter Tiger Football games and a few Atlanta Braves Games

She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish fond memories: one daughter, Ava Hendrix (Barwick); three sons, Robert Doyle, Michael Johnson, and Gary Johnson; three brothers, Harold Johnson (Judy) and Jerry Johnson, and Edward Johnson (Linda); one uncle, Judge Johnson; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
