Alexander Harroun, 1861-1862: Co. I, 46th Ind Vol. Inf. There are three different spellings of Alexander's surname depending on the record being consulted. His surname is spelled "Harroun" on his headstone, as "Haronn" on the Indiana Roster of Civil War soldiers, but as "Herron" on his record at the Ohio Soldiers' and Sailors' Home-- now called the Ohio Veterans Home--, and on his invalid pension application record, dated Sept. 10, 1880 which was approved and issued as Certificate #758326 in Ohio.
