Mr. Shewmake was born November 27, 1958 in Lapeer, MI to Lester Lee Shewmake and Marilyn Peck Shewmake. He had worked at Champions, TCI, Candy Cane Creations and Orton Chicken Farm. Mr. Shewmake enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding dirt roads, watching westerns, journaling and sitting on the porch. He was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church. Mr. Shewmake was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brian Shewmake.
Survivors include two sons, Lee Shewmake and wife Sian of Annapolis MD, Zack Shewmake of Milledgeville, GA; three daughters, Marie Brown of Ray City, GA, Laura Bailey and husband Daniel of Cordele, GA, Steffanee Shewmake of Buena Vista, GA; two sisters, Judy Gattis and husband Danny of Ellaville, Leslie Barbaree and husband Mark of Cummings, GA; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are two nieces Kerri Barbaree, Jenny Frantz and husband Adam; and one nephew, Chris Gattis and wife Misty.
