Obituary:

Mary Ann Alexander, Anderson, 75, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Oakview Nursing and Rehab surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 3, 1944 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Leno and Mable Tompson. Mary Ann was a hard worker. During her employment years, she worked at the local clothing factory and then was employed by School District 348 in the custodial department. She enjoyed being around people and could always find someone to talk to. Mary Ann always had a happy disposition. She loved her family and she will be dearly missed. Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her son, Tommy Alexander and his wife Kelly of Albion, IL; grandsons, Chase Alexander and his wife Raven, Sheldon Alexander and his wife Kensie; five grandchildren; a niece, Stella Johnson, who Mary Ann thought of as a daughter, and several more nieces and nephews who she also loved. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Betty Malony. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Allendale Cemetery in Allendale, IL with Pastor Mark Richison Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann's memory to WC Cafeteria and Senior Center.
