He was born April 12, 1954 in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late Johnnie Cleckler and the late Laverne Cleckler.
He was a Paramedic and a Quail Farmer.
Surviving are his Wife, Myra M. Cleckler, Sister, Barbara Smitherman, Brother-in-law, Ronnie Mims, Sister-in-law, Ellen Mims, Nephews, Chris Smitherman, Brian (Wendy) Smitherman, Jay (Laura) Mims and Josh (Jaclyn) Mims, Great-Nieces, Emily (Zach) Barnett, Taylor (Dustin) Latham and Sydney Smitherman, Special Great Nephews, Brady Smitherman and Jackson Mims.
He was preceded in death by His Father, Johnnie Cleckler, Mother, Birdie Laverne Cleckler, Great Nephew, Adam Smitherman, Father-in-law, E.J. Mims, Mother-in-law, Myrtis Mims, and Brother-in-law, Allen Smitherman.
Friends will be received Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sunshine Assembly of God Cemetery.
Services will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunshine Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jay Mims and Rev. Jeremy Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunshine Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Chris Smitherman, Brian Smitherman, Jay Mims, Josh Mims, David Dodd and Mike Staggs.
