Vicente Fernández Gómez was a Mexican singer, businessman, record producer, and actor, father of fellow singer Alejandro Fernández, he is considered a symbol of Hispanic American culture and one of the most popular artists in Mexico. Vicente's contributions to music, along with his publicized personal life, have made him a global and representative figure of ranchero culture for more than five decades. His work has earned him two Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, fourteen Lo Nuestro Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In April 2010 he reached 60 million copies sold worldwide.
