Dies in Hospital
Dirk Ahern, 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kim Ahern of 245 Kimber ave., died yesterday in Boston Children's Hospital, Boston, Mass. after a long illness.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Kim and Shannon Ahern; his paternal grandparents, Floyd Ahern and Mrs. Pauline Ahern; his maternal grandparents, Clarence Blair and Mrs. Carolyn Blair; and several aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are incomplete.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Garfield Funeral Home, 515 Wescott St.

Services for DICK AHERN, 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kim Ahern of 234 Kimber Ave., who died Thursday in Boston Children's Hospital, Boston, Mass., after a long illness, will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Garfield Funeral Home, 615 Wescott St., and at 9 a.m. in St. James Church, where a solemn high Mass of requiem will be celebrated.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at teh funeral home.
