Ms. Widestrom is survived by her brother, Bill (Karen) Widestrom of Eagle Grove; sisters, Audrey and JoAnne Widestrom of Windsor Heights, Eileen (Dwane) Junkman of Manson and Lorna (Don) Hammen of Woodbury, MN; brother in law, Robert Miller of Clinton, OK and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lucille Miller of Clinton, OK and Marie Morgan Acker of Manson.
Bernadine Esther Widestrom, the daughter of Lawrence and Alma (Wendt) Widestrom was born December 3, 1925 in Manson, Iowa. She received her education at the Manson Schools graduating from high school as salutatorian in 1943. She worked many years in Des Moines for General Motors Acceptance Corporation and was last employed by The Principal Financial Group (Pension Dividends) retiring in 1987. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Manson and a 70 year member of the American Legion Auxillary, Unit 204, Manson. She enjoyed reading, movies, sports and kept newspaper clippings of the activities of her many nieces and nephews. Active until final days, Bernadine will be remembered for her caring and support of all of her family.
