Son of Genero and ? Mirro. Husband of Mary Giglio Mirro (daughter of Sabato Giglio. She had a brother named Sabato Giglio, Jr). Father of Antoinette; Joseph; James; Elmer and Louise.Arrived from Naples, Italy on the ship "Sicilia" on July 6, 1905 at the age of 20 years old. He is listed as "Veto Mirra" in the Ellis Island records. His port of departure was Naples, Campania,Italy on June 22, 1905. He actually came from a town called Palemonte in Italy. According to records, he had $10.00 with him whenever he arrived in the United States. His passage was paid by his brother-in-law, Sabato Giglio, brother to his wife Mary Giglio. Sabato had arrived in the United States on May 10, 1900. Vito's wife, Mary and their daughter, Antoinette arrived on November 11, 1907. Vito and his wife are buried in section E-1, Lot 41, in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Vito Mirro's Draft Registration Card states that he was born in Palemonte, Italy on May 1, 1884. He was 58 years old whenever he signed the Draft Registration Card. He listed his address as 118 Middle Avenue in Wilmerding, PA.
