Mrs. Virginia M. Armand Grimes, age 94, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on August 8, 1927 in Canaan, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles Andrew and Ethel Evelyn Earle Armand. She graduated from Central High School on Rykers Ridge in 1945 near Madison. On May 9, 1946 Virginia was united in marriage to Allen Lowell Grimes. This happy union of 51 years was blessed with sons, Michael, Robert and Chris and a daughter, Julie. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, grandma, great grandma and homemaker. She was of the North Madison Baptist Church and enjoyed Florida and had worked as a travel agent in Florida for several years. Virginia died on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 1:31 a.m. at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana.

Virginia will be missed by her loving sons, Robert D. Grimes and Chris Grimes; her loving daughter, Julie Grimes; 6-grandchildren and several great grandchildren, her sister, Marilyn Volz and her husband, Ken of Madison, Indiana; her brothers, Ralph Armand and his wife, Ann of Madison, Indiana, Dennis Armand of Salem, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Andrew Armand, died February 27, 1993, her mother, Ethel Evelyn Earle Armand, died May 10, 1985, her husband of 51 years, Allen Lowell Grimes, died August 15, 1996, her sisters, Fern Armand, died May 11, 1947 and Donna Jean Armand Day, died April 28, 2013, her brothers, Earle L. Armand, died September 21, 1948, Larry Eugene Armand, died February 10, 2009, and Glen Wilbur Armand, died October 9, 2019, and her son, Michael A. Grimes.

Cremation was chosen and interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens,9306 North U.S. 421 in Madison, Indiana.
