He was born Oct. 2, 1943, in Canaan, the son of Charles Andrew and Ethel Evelyn Earl Armand. He served in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He was retired from Cummins Engine Co. He was a member of Hebron Church in Canaan and enjoyed cars and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Smith Armand; two children, Tina Diann Armand and Rick Eugene Armand, both of North Vernon; one stepdaughter, Lisa Foster; three sisters, Virginia Grimes of Florida, and Donna Day and Marilyn Volz, both of Madison; three brothers, Ralph Armand of Madison, Dennis Armand of Salem and Glenn Armand of Louisiana; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth Robert Armand and Earl Leroy Armand; and one sister, Fern Annabel Armand.
The funeral was at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home, 115 S. State St., North Vernon. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Canaan.
