Audrey Marie Pierce, age 95, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021. There will be a private service at Woodlawn Memorial Park on December 28, 2021 with Brother Ron Manning officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Audrey Pierce was born June 15, 1926 in Camden, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Travis Henry Grisham and Hatti Green Grisham, her husband of 39 years, the late country music singer, Webb Pierce, her daughter, Deborah Pierce, her brother JT (Ophie) Grisham, her sisters Lillian (Doyle Sr) Sanders, Sissy (Fred)Thurber, and Eloise Ross, her niece's Bridgette Grisham and Michelle Tranthum.

Audrey Pierce is survived by her son, Webb (Michelle) Pierce Jr. of Lebanon, Tennessee, grandson, Webb (Leigh) Pierce III of Smyrna, Tennessee, granddaughter, Audra (Paul) Roberts of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, great-grandson, Micheal Davis of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, step-daughters, Becky (Tim) Garrett of Nashville, Tennessee, Patty (Russell) Weatherford of Brentwood, Tennessee, step-sons, Bill (Alicia) Woods of Brentwood, Tennessee and John Woods of Brentwood, Tennessee; niece's Becky (Dan) Brawner of West Meade, Tennessee, Harriet Trantham of El Dorado, Arkansas, Mary Ann Sanders of Washington, nephew, Travis Grisham of Arkansas and lifelong friend of 65 years, Peggy Dickinson of Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

Audrey took interest in modeling at age 16. She moved to Shreveport, Louisiana to pursue modeling while she worked as a phone operator at Shreveport Telephone Co, which is where she met Webb Pierce. They became husband and wife in November of 1952. She had many talents. She co-wrote songs for Webb Pierce such as "There stands the glass," "It's been so long" and "I'm walking the dog." Through Webb's career, she would continue to co-write many more songs. She also had a talent for painting, gardening/landscaping and interior decorating. Her most important role was being a mother to Webb Jr. and the late Deborah, who passed in 2012, and being a grandmother. Her family was everything to her.

In February of 1991, her husband of 39 years passed away from pancreatic cancer. In June of 1997, she married her lifelong friend, John Woods of Brentwood, Tennessee. They had many laughs and a wonderful marriage for 10 years until he passed away in April of 2008. She loved life and her family. She was looking forward to being a great-grandmother to Webb III & Leigh Pierce's baby girl, Lyra Grace Pierce, who is expected to be born in April of 2022. Although she suffered from dementia, she never forgot her family.
