William "Sonny" Howard, son of the late Robert and Lillie Bell Howard, was born March 6, 1935, Tuskegee, Alabama. He departed this life for glory on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Water's Edge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

William relocated to Trenton at an early age. He was educated in the Pennsbury School District in Pennsylvania. He was united in 1954 to Louise Harris Sulu. He was formerly employed as a truck driver by Fairless Steel, Youngstown Cottage Co., and retired from Victory Trucking Company.

William leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories, six sons, Ronald Howard, Clinton West, Jameel Howard, Timothy Howard, Artria Leroy, Darryl Hayes, 8 daughters, Annie Louise Watts, Joanne Fitchett, Geraldine Howard, Treena West, Annette Howard, Maxine Hallback, Tynetta Sheridan, Medina Howard, daughters-in-law, Abbie Howard, Renee Howard, Diane Howard and Robin West, three sons-in-law, Tom Watts, Perlie Fitchett and Mark Sheridan, adopted brother, Sahir Lel-Amin, an aunt, Bertha Hill of Cleveland, OH, a special cousin Virginia Smith of Dayton, OH, thirty-nine grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
