Watson Akers of Clearville, Rt. 2, died May 29, 1959, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1880, in Monroe Twp., the son of the late Mahlon H. and Sarah (Layton) Akers. He was married to Odella Jay. She died June 23, 1957. He is survived by three sons, Herbert P., Clearville, Rt. 2; Watson J., Blackstone, Va., and Robert, Hamburg, a brother, Percy S., Clearville, Rt. 2, and a sister, Mrs. Lulu Wallace, Clearville, Rt., and 6 grandchildren.
