Note:

For those who call me crazy for having a Confederate Monument for Josiah: I ordered the correct monument and the government messed up and sent a Confederate monument.

Son of Reverend Moses and Elizabeth Brown Westberry.

Brother of Rachael; Noah; Amelia; Moses Jr; Caleb; Jarod; Elizabeth; Rabun; Julia Ann and Joseph Furman. Husband of Rachel West. Father of: Thomas Milton; William Charlton; Elizabeth; Nancy L; John Moses; Rachael; Mary Ann; Justina; Moses Josiah and James Randall. Josiah Westberry and his wife Rachel united with Jones Creek Baptist Church and were members there until after they removed to Appling County. They moved to Appling County about 1830 and settled in the 4th land district in the portion later detached and added to Wayne County. Josiah Westberry died there in 1845. He was buried at Bethel Baptist Church in Wayne County. Josiah was buried next to his wife Rachel. Rachel's grave was marked and Josiah's was not. A marker was later requested from the government and this marker was added to the cemetery. However, there was a mistake made and Josiah was given a Civil War marker. He was a lieutenant in the Indian War.
