Richard was born on August 30, 1934 in Argo, Il. to Lillian Rieck and August Urick. He married Elizabeth Schwarz on February 18, 1956 in Summit, Il. He was a carpenter for Union #1889 for 47 years retiring in 1996. He was affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church in Herscher, Il. He was a member of the Herscher Lions Club, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and painting.
He is survived by his wife of Herscher, IL., one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jamie Urick of Monee, IL., one daughter and son-in-law, Renee & Louis Dickman of Herscher, IL., one brother, Harry Urick of California, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice White and Margaret Urick, two brothers, Donald and Lawrence Urick.
