Tan Yanxuan was a political figure in the early years of the Republic of China. He was the governor of Hunan, the chairman of the National Government and the first Premier of the Republic of China. He also excelled in poetry, calligraphy and shooting, and was one of the "Four Great Calligraphers of the Kuomintang".
