James Mounce, age 75, of Chicago, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 9:59 a.m. in St. Bernard Hospital, Chicago, IL.

James was born on January 17, 1946 in Metropolis, IL, a son to John Marion and Helen Rebecca (Emery) Mounce.
November 13, 1968, he married Norma in Wheaton, IL. Later in life, James married Margaret on December 24, 1982 in Colorado and she survives.

He had attended Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and enjoyed fishing and hunting. James had worked in advertising for Madden Graphics. He also served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; five children, Debbie, Traci, Robert (Lena), Adam and Donald; two brothers, Jackie (Alisha)and Jeff; and one sister, Janice (Bob).

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Mounce; one brother, John Mounce; and two sisters, Rosemary Mounce, and JoAnn Fisher.

Funeral service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
