Emily graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls in 1941, West Chester State Teacher's College with a B.S. in Education in 1945 and the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's Degree in Education in 1950. During her career, she worked in various areas such as teaching blind children.
She was active in Bucks County in the Bucks County Conservancy and the Newtown Library. Emily was an avid bird watcher and traveled on birding expeditions throughout the world.
During her marriage to "Bob", they traveled frequently to countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Emily will be laid to rest with her husband at St. James Episcopal Church Columbarium.
