IRVING.--Charles Irving, born in Tyrone County, Ireland, in 1809, died in New York city May 5, 1891. "With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation." At fourteen Brother Irving came to New York, where he resided continuously. In 1835 he married Mary Graham. Four children were born of this union. The three eldest died in childhood; the youngest, Benjamin H., resides in New York. At an early age Brother Irving became a follower of Christ. He was one of the organizers of Rose Hill Methodist Episcopal Church, Twenty-seventh Street, New York East Conference, remaining an active, faithful member sixty years. At different times he filled the highest official positions in the church. He was greatly beloved , and his memory lingers like a benediction. His works, do follow him.
