HARRIS, EMMA ODESSA HORSLEY, age 84, of Pinson, passed away January 1, 2008. She was born in Morgan County, Alabama to James Horsley and Lela Mae Belle Horsley. She was a homemaker and attended 9th Avenue Baptist Church, Birmingham. She is a former Girl Scout Leader (Jefferson County). She was predeceased by her husband, Simmie Harris; parents, James and Lela Mae Belle Self Horsley; sister, Idella Young; and brothers, J.T., Ed and Ben Horsley.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Harris Prince and Donna Harris (Robert) Majors both of Pinson; son, Arnold (Linda) Harris of Pinson; sisters, Lucille Roddam of Pinson, Vera Horsley of Remlap and Estelle Burnum of Memphis, TN; sister-in-law, Cody Horsley of Remlap; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 pm with interment in Lee's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 8 pm at Lemley Funeral Chapel. Bro. Glenn Bynum officiating.
