The unfortunate man, Charles Dalby, who was seriously crushed by a pile at the Mount Kembla Company's jetty Port Kembla, on Friday last, died at the A.M. Hospital on Tuesday night. An inquest was initiated at the institution yesterday forenoon, before Mr. C. C. Russell, coroner, and a jury of twelve. The jury having viewed the body, and a nephew of deceased having given evidence of identification, the inquiry was adjourned until Tuesday next, to admit of the attendance of an officer from the Mines Department.

WOLLONGONG, Saturday.
A fearful accident occurred yesterday evening at the Mount Kembla Coal Co.'s jetty. It appears that a man named Charles Dalby was engaged driving piles when by some accidental means he fell and was badly crushed against the jetty. He is a resident of Bulli, and aged 60 years. His wife is only 17 years old, having been recently married. Dalby now lies in the A.M. Hospital, Wollongong, with not the slightest hope of recovery.
