Dave Vanriette, age 95 of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away from this life on January 27th, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Dave was born on June 22nd, 1926 in Albion, Oklahoma to Mamie (Bryant) and Alexander Vanriette. Dave was a talker and enjoyed visiting with people and he never met a stranger. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and raising beagles. Dave was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dave is survived by his children, Robert Vanriette and wife Louise of Talihina, OK, Toniva Vanriette of Poteau, OK, David Vanriette of Fort Smith, AR, Sherry Shankle of Fort Smith, AR, and Myria Morris of Muse, OK; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Dave is preceded in passing by his parents, Mamie and Alexander Vanriette; two sisters and one brother, and four daughters, Julie Vanriette Rose, Thelma Vanriette Johnson, Melinda Vanriette Houser, and Carol Sue Vanriette.
Pallbearers will be Kenny King, Anthony King, Timothy Griffitts, Lewis Griffitts, Mike Melton, Kenny Anderson
Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell Vanriette and Darrell Vanriette Jr.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma.
Services will be on Monday, January 31st, 2022 at 2:00PM at McCarn Funeral Home Chapel in Talihina, Oklahoma with Bro. Kenny Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at New Talihina City Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
