Deceased Name: BEATRICE M. COTA HOMEMAKER
Beatrice M. Cota, 92, formerly of North Street, died Wednesday at United Helpers Canton Nursing Home.
Mrs. Cota was a homemaker and operated a dairy farm in Madrid with her husband, Howard.
Born Aug. 5, 1912, in Ogdensburg, daughter of Jesse and Estella Arkand Day, she attended schools in Lisbon. She married Howard B. Cota on June 20, 1932. He died in 1985.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pauline Murphy and Celia and Robert Murray, all of Madrid, and Eileen and Hal Vrooman, Carthage; a son, Robert H., Arizona; two brothers, Jesse Day, Massena, and William Day, Madrid, 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A brother, Ambrose Day, died as an infant. Two sisters, Bernice Woods and Francis Cota, also died before her.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Phillips Memorial Home, with the Rev. Janet B. Gibbs officiating.
Burial will be in White Church Cemetery, Lisbon.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
