BROOKLYN, N.Y. - On Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, Bernice June Pearson, widow of Willie "Bro" Pearson Jr., entered into eternal rest at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. Born on Tuesday, April 15, 1941, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Charlton and Nora Lee Smith June.

Services celebrating her life: Matrix Center, 4648 Kingstree Highway, Manning, where the Rev. Terry R. Johnson Sr., pastor of the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, Ram Bay community of Manning, will preside. The Rev. Dr. Lee June, pastor of New Mt. Calvary Church of Lansing, Michigan, will bring words of encouragement.

The service of committal: Pearson family plot located in St. Matthews Cemetery, Kingstree Highway.

Due to COVID-19, attendance is limited to prevent the spread of the virus. Masks are required for those attending the service. Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel considers this recommendation and has adopted it into practice.

Services will be live streamed on our Facebook page at Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel.

In accordance with the requirements given by the CDC in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is not receiving relatives and friends at the residence.
