Journalist. He was a Mexican lawyer, writer, editor and journalist, who was known for his literary letters published in newspapers of the time as well as for the foundation of the newspaper "El Tiempo Ilustrado." The literary letters that he wrote from his youth and during his studies were known to soften the feelings of man, mainly in relation to the family. In 1882 he was director of the newspaper "El Imparcial." He was a member of the Mexican Academy of Language, among several works he edited the Library of Mexican Authors in 78 volumes.
