LONG BRANCH - Mrs. Alice Fields, 68, of 94 North Fifth Ave., died yesterday at her home. She was the widow of John Fields.
Mrs. Fields was born in Pollakville, N. C, daughter of the late Thomas and Rachel Coontz Herring and had lived here for 30 years.
Surviving are two sons, Avan Fields of Jersey City and Alton Fields of this place; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Reeves, Mrs. Frances Alston and Mrs. Adele Wright, all of this place; four brothers, William Herring of Baltimore, and Ralph Herring, Louis Herring and Andrew Herring all of North Carolina; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Hill and Mrs. Ella Logan, both of Baltimore and Mrs. Cora Hood of North Carolina, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the John W. Flock Funeral Home with Rev. C. P. Williams, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Monmouth Memorial Park, New Shrewsbury.
