Baptized Marie Edouardina Antionette Dionne on the day of her birth: Antionette migrated to the United States with her family in 1899. Settling in Providence, RI, she was enrolled in the St. Charles Parish school and transferred to the new Our Lady of Lourdes parish school when it opened in 1906. Both schools were under the direction of the Religious of Jesus and Mary. On October 14, 1917 she became an R.J.M postulant. When she became a novice and received her religious habit she took the name Aime out of love for her brother. Sister St. Aime professed her vows on February 12, 1919. At the end, when a young priest was called to her bedside she told him " I am not afraid to die". Her brother, the Rev. Adelard B. Dionne, O.P. was with her praying when she passed. Her nephew, Rev. Adrian L. Dionne, O.P. concelebrated the funeral mass along with his uncle Adelard. Her mission serving God and serving others for 40 years ended after she was buried in Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery on convent grounds.
