Southern lady, polite, refined, and genteel describes the wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who left us on February 9th after complications with pneumonia.
Caroline was a Jacksonian all of her life, born and reared in the city. She attended school there and graduated from Jackson High School in 1958. She attended Gulf Park by the Sea, a finishing school for girls where she graduated.

Returning to Jackson, Caroline met and married James Edward Bagley of Birmingham, Alabama in 1966. She was a member of the Cotillion Club, the Jackson Service League, and the Mary Anna Ashby Milk Fund.

She and her husband Jim, affectionately referred to as "Bags", were members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where he served as lay eucharistic minister and she served on the altar guild. In 2003, they became founding members of All Saints Anglican Church in Jackson.

Caroline is survived by her children, James Edward Bagley, Jr. (Jeb), his wife, Cheryl, and their children Erica and Bryce; a daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Bagley Moore (Beth), her husband, Brandon, and their children Anna-Caroline and Miles; daughter Kim Bagley Houdebine, her husband, Christian, and her son Zackery; daughter Sherri Bagley Tyus, her husband, Robbie, and their children Michael (deceased), Katie, and Shelli; two nephews, Chris Williams and Michael Williams; and a niece, Stephanie Burgess Freeman.
