Military figure and Musician. He was awarded the Memorial Golden medal for military valor during the Ethiopian war. Enlisted in the Royal Army starting from May 1917, he took part in the First World War under the 9th Bersaglieri Regiment. A few months later he was promoted to aspiring officer, passing into service with the 38th Infantry Regiment and in 1918, with the rank of lieutenant, he was assigned to the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment in command of the flamethrower department. Discharged at the end of the conflict, he resumed his studies in music and sculpture. He attended the "G. Frescobaldi" Musical Institute, where he soon became the favorite pupil of Maestro Pellegrino Neri, and then graduated with full marks at the "G. Rossini" Conservatory in Pesaro. For his production of sentimental melodic compositions and his choirs, with four male and mixed voices, he obtained the conduction of famous choirs, the "Vincenzo Bellini" and, the Orfeonica, performing in major Italian cities. He directed the bands of Codigoro, where he resided until 1931, Ospital Monacale, Voghenza, Rero di Tresigallo and Portomaggiore. He was awarded an Academic diploma in trumpet at the Royal Academy of Bologna, often replacing both Vittore Veneziani and Gino Neri replacing them in the conduction. In 1929 he was appointed head of the marching band of the 76th Legion of the Voluntary National Security Militia with the rank of Capomanipoloe. In May 1935 he was recalled to active service, and with the same rank he volunteered joining the group of the CC.NN. of Eritrea. On his landing in Massawa he was assigned to the 1st Battalion Group CC.NN. as commander of the explorers department. He participated in the war in Ethiopia, and fell in combat at Mai Beles.
