Catharine married John F. Abbott at Boston on Nov. 11, 1838. They were parents to four children, including Maria, born ca. 1840; Charles H., born ca. 1842; George, born May 1863; and Walter, born ca. 1848.
Widowed in 1873, Catharine moved to Medford late in life where she died at 65 Valley St. due to Cerebral Apoplexy as well as Rheumatism and Arthritis. She was buried in a family lot at Mount Hope Cemetery.
