Emma (Cooper) Aaron was born on June 6, 1872 in Marshall County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of James Monroe Cooper (1841–1913) and Susan Emma (Peach) Cooper (1848–1936).

She was married to William Monroe Aaron (1863–1946).

Emma had worked at Washington Manufacturing Company and was a member of Riverside Church of Christ. Living at Nashville's Home for the Aged, Emma was 91 years old, a widow and had arteriosclerosis when she passed away on July 19, 1963 at Davidson County Hospital, where she had been for fifteen months.

Survivors included sisters Mrs P A Bazelle of Nashville and Mrs A J Lee at Saint Louis, Missouri and brother W L Cooper in Columbia, Tennessee.

Funeral Services were held on July 22nd at Pettus-Owen & Wood Funeral Home, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
