Eld. Terry Ray and the Rev. Dr. Ernest Jones officiated at the 1 p.m. Friday afternoon February 25th funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial followed in section three at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Carthage.
One of four children, she was born Glenda Gayle Huddleston in Carthage on October 26, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Clarence Neal Huddleston who died April 27, 2010 at the age of 88 and Amelia Bell Thompson Huddleston who died June 10, 2007 at the age of 72.
She was a recipient of her General Education Degree.
At her home on July 31, 1999, she was united in marriage to Neil Charles Adams by the Rev. Dr. Ernest Jones.
She was employed at the former Smith County Memorial Hospital in Carthage from 1979 until 1985 and then became a nurse in the office of former Carthage physician, Dr. Murray until 1990 when she returned to the Smith County Memorial Hospital where she was a Radiology Technician, and A. A. R. T. and mammographer. She retired from nursing at the Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage in 2015 with a health care career of over thirty six years.
Mrs. Adams was saved as a little girl at her home in the Elmwood Community and at the time of her death was attending the God's Way Community Church.
