Beatrice (Beaty) Adeline Jenkins England of Montross, VA 98 years, born Sunday, 2 September 1923 at Stratford, Westmoreland County, VA passed away Thursday, 3 March, 2022 at her home in Stratford, Westmoreland County, VA.

The eldest daughter of the late, James Bruce Jenkins and Virgie Agnes Bryant Jenkins.

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, William Buchanan England, Sr.; her only sister, Margie Katherine Jenkins Isaacs of Virginia Beach, VA and only brother, James Robert Jenkins of Montross, VA.
Survived by a family tree laden with the love of her only son, William Buchanan England, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Donna Daiger England of Montross, VA; grandson, William Buchanan England III (Jacque) of Warsaw, VA; granddaughters, Kinsley Dawn England Heaton (David) of Orlando, FL, Kori Renee England of Orlando, FL; Amy Garnett Beddoo Thomas (Scott) of Richmond, VA and great-granddaughters, Taylor Grace and Avery Mae Heaton of Orlando, FL, Lily Garnett Thomas of Richmond, VA and Lannielynn Beatrice England of Warsaw, VA; great-grandson, Logan Scott Thomas of Richmond, VA; brother-in-law, William B. She was graduated from Washington-Lee High School, Montross, VA in 1941, attended Strayer Business College and the Department of Agriculture Graduate School in Washington, D.C.; retired from United States Civil Service, 29 October 1979, Washington, D.C. with 35 years Federal Service; was employed as Postmaster at Chisford, VA; the Treasury Department in Washington D.C.; the War Department during World War II at the Pentagon moving supplies and equipment for the Transportation Corps; the Library of Congress; the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts and finally, the Base Librarian, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington D.C.

She was a lifelong member of Providence United Methodist Church, Chiltons, VA, where she served after retirement as Church Historian to the present time and was Membership Secretary for more than 15 years and also served as past President of the United Methodist Women at Providence UMC. She was past Worthy Matron, Federal Chapter #38 with her husband as her Worthy Patron, Federal Chapter #38, order of the Eastern Star, Washington D.C.; member by appointment of the Board of Supervisors of Westmoreland County to the History Documentation Committee, Montross, VA; she was an early member of the Northern Neck of Virginia Historical Society; a charter member and former Registrar of Chantilly Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; member of the Virginia Genealogical Society; the Montross Museum and Library; the Northumberland County Historical Society; a "Kentucky Colonel" and member of the Honorable order of Kentucky Colonel's; member of Lettice Lee Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century; Life member of the Chesapeake Bay Company of the Jamestown Society; the Prince George County Maryland Genealogical Society; the Virginia Huguenot Society and member of the National Association Retired Federal Employees (NARFE); co-authored with her sister, Katherine Jenkins Isaacs, a genealogy of their mother's Bryant family "Tarpley Bryant and his descendants, 1700-1989"; compiled a "History of Providence United Methodist Church, 1851-1998; a book of the World War II Letters from William B. England Sr. for her son and grandchildren, "Memories of William B. England World War II"; as well as her own memories "The way it was and is: in my own words" for her son and grandchildren with a companion volume of family pictures; a genealogy in progress and not completed, being co-authored with her cousin, Betty Jewett "Adam Weaver and his descendants".

She researched and compiled all the "Sears Roebuck Homes" in Westmoreland County, VA, one of which is the former Methodist Parsonage, as well as all the churches in Westmoreland County for the Westmoreland County History Documentation Committee; collected and organized old artifacts pertaining to Providence Church that she used to establish a "History-Museum Room" at the church, as well as established a filing system to preserve all the important old documents of the church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, 9 March, 2022 at Providence United Methodist Church, 5417 Stratford Hall Road, (Chiltons) Montross, VA with Rev. Danny Maupin officiating; interment in the Providence UM Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on the day of the funeral from 10-11 am at Providence United Methodist Church at 5417 Stratford Hall Road, (Chiltons) Montross, VA.

Order of the Eastern Star (OES) memorial service on the day of the funeral at Providence at 11 am by Federal Chapter #38, Washington D.C.

The pallbearers are: Billy Isaacs, Javier Molinares, Craig England, Scott Thomas, Millard Bryant, Eric Molinares.

Honorary pallbearers are: members of the Order of the Eastern Star; members of Genealogical and Historical Societies; 1941 classmates; and Providence United Methodist Women.
