Note: St. Louis (Cathedral) Church Parish's "Holy Field" was St. Peter Street Cemetery from as early as 1720, until this plot was overcrowded by the late 1780s. St. Louis Cemetery #1 was established in 1789, although burials continued for a handful of years in St. Peter Street, Saint Louis Cemetery # 1 became the new "Holy Field" of the church. It is estimated that St. Peter Street Cemetery holds roughly 8000 in ground burials.
