A Mar 2022 conversation with Town Clerk's office and the cemetery sexton confirmed that burial permits were not yet in use at the time, nor were vaults used. Documentation in local newspapers during the times of their deaths was not found to mention the location of burial. Therefore, having no physical or documented evidence, it is unlikely this hypothesis can be proved or disproved. The burials could have taken place on the remote property where they all resided in Coventry Gore or even an old cemetery on the Newport side of the gore, but it remains most plausible that they were buried in this lot with Betsey Aldrich Gibbs and the graves were never memorialized. The only documentation found that could contradict the hypothesis is a 1938 survey map by A.M. Clough. On the map, Lot 127 is only occupied by "Betsey," However, any survey would have been based on the limited documentation and visual evidence related to the cemetery that has been analyzed during the generation of this hypothesis.
