Rex Allen Crawford, 59, of Fife Lake, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Gonyers AFC. Rex was born on June 15, 1948, in Charlevoix to Boyd and Virginia (Peters) Crawford. Rex graduated from Kalkaska High School. He was employed for many years at Burnett Foods in Elk Rapids. Rex enjoyed chatting on the CB with his friends and sharing stories at the coffee shop. He is survived by his father, Boyd; step-mother Mabel of Kalkaska; brother, Marvin (Michaeline) Crawford of Rapid City; sister Shirley Crawford of Kalkaska; step-brothers, James (Sharon) Deater of Rapid City; Gary (Mary) Deater of Indianapolis, Ind.; step-sisters, Janette (Tom) Brouwer of Williamston & Kalkaska; and Louann (Terry) Ferguson of Lansing; nieces, Charlotte (Joel) Martin of Whitehall, Mary (David) Moore, Monica (Everett) Homan of Kalkaska; and nephew, Matthew Crawford of Kalkaska. Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia and brother, Clare. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 19, at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral was Wednesday, June 20, at the funeral home with the Reverend James Barrand of St. Mary of the Woods officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Shirley Crawford, PO Box 126, Kalkaska, Mich., 49646. Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home, our family serving yours.
