Leola A. McClanahan, 80, of Kittanning RD5, died Tuesday, July 27, 1993 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 8, 1913, in Verona to Clifford E. and Ida Mae (Graham) Walter.
She was a homemaker and a Jehovah Witness.
Survivors include two sons, Robert F. McClanahan of Chicora RD2 and Theodore L. McClanahan of Erie; five daughters, Mrs. Wilmer (Audrey) Goldstrohm of Kittanning RD5, Mrs. Reno (Genevieve) Sybert of Chicora RD2, Mrs. Regis (Lawana) Baptiste of Butler, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Jordan of Dayton RD2 and Mrs. Evalyeen Green of Kittanning RD5; a brother, George Walker of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth McEmell of California and Mrs. Blanche Bowser of Butler, 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Elwood McClanahan; four brothers, Roy, John, Emmerson and Wilber Walter; two sisters, Mary Snyder and Sally Simmers.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley, where funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with Mr. Richard Linek officiating. Burial will take place in Rural Valley Cemetery.
